Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry. We are looking for an individual who is seeking a long-term career, not just a job. Primary responsibilities include inventory management and parts processing, along with customer service duties such as advising customers and presenting recommended services. This position is expected to become full-time within 6–12 months as our business continues to grow. Primary location will be in Port Matilda.
Responsibilities:
Primary Focus: Inventory management, parts return tracking, data entry, and organization of paperwork. In addition to future duties:
- Greet customers in person and over the phone, providing a professional and friendly experience.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Prepare repair orders and estimates.
- Clearly communicate recommended services and repairs.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Keep customers updated on repair status.
- Handle phone calls, scheduling, and follow-ups.
- Maintain organized and accurate records.
- Travel between our two locations (Mill Hall and Port Matilda) as needed.
- Take on additional responsibilities as training and experience expand.
Qualifications:
- Previous automotive service advisor or related experience preferred.
- Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of auto parts and basic automotive repair.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency (experience with shop management software is a plus).
- Professional attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
